Although I have helped out on the several shoots we have done at home, this is the first time I have taken photos I have been happy with.

Beth was a lovely lady to work with. I really enjoyed this shoot and would happily work with her again, perhaps trying to be more adventurous with poses and props.

Yesterday we met a photographer who showed us her studio in a converted garage. Very impressive. She invited me to go along with her to the photography club that evening.

I have decided to enrol on a City and Guilds Photography course. There is one starting in January so I will ring up tomorrow. It could be an interesting change of career.

It is the last day of the school holidays! My eldest starts 6th Form tomorrow. My youngest has an extra day before starting year 11. Oh no not another year of GCSEs!

I have been trying to sort out problems with lighting in my photography. My eldest sat for me first and later on my youngest posed.

I worked on my first real model shoot yesterday. Well, actually, I worked alongside my husband who did most of the photography while I held softboxes and reflectors.

The model was a first-timer but a natural who we had met only a few days before. Very friendly woman, easy to get along with and happy to try anything out.

Great fun and I learned a lot.
